Innotas, a leading provider of Cloud Solutions for IT Management, has announced today that it has been positioned by Gartner in the “Visionaries” quadrant for the 2011 "Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications”.
The first iteration of this Magic Quadrant introduces coverage of integrated IT portfolio analysis applications. These applications help IT managers link their respective non-project-related portfolios and perspectives, while giving them access to a strong set of project portfolio management functions for investment planning, visibility, and prioritization. Overall, 13 solutions were evaluated based on their ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision.’ Each solution was then positioned in one of four quadrants: niche players, challengers, visionaries, and leaders.
Gartner states that “Visionaries resemble Leaders in many ways, especially when comparing them against criteria such as product vision and innovation. Visionaries alternatively demonstrate a strong vision for innovative thinking around holistic, configurable IT strategy definition and measurement during IT portfolio decision making and management. For example, products from some Visionaries provide direct IT strategy definition, planning, measurement and tracking without being dependent on the construction and definition of a program or project hierarchy as a prerequisite platform, where others are bound to build the same on their legacy project architecture. Visionaries may or may not be as financially sound as Challengers or Leaders in this new market. Some of the vendors populating the Visionaries quadrant are SaaS vendors. Thus, these vendors can provide strong IT portfolio management capabilities, while offering customers a low-risk investment option in technology via 12-month subscription-based software agreements.”
"We have worked very hard to be recognized as a “Visionary” in the new integrated IT portfolio analysis applications space," said Kevin Kern, President and CEO of Innotas. "We believe our positioning as a “Visionary” as well as our most recent rating as “Strong Positive” in the 2011 MarketScope for Project and Portfolio Management Applications underscores our position as one of the leading providers of cloud-based IT Governance, Project Portfolio Management, and Application Portfolio Management solutions.”
